Funny Change of Folder after invoking a .ifo file

Hi,
every time I start a .ifo file placed in a folder which name contains a underscore, the player (media player classic) gets started, but Salamander jumps back to the default directory instead of staying into the video-dir.
Starting a .vob file in the same dir does not produce this effect.
Checked the registry but .ifo and .vob do have the same settings
(open\command = "C:\Programme\Media Player Classic\mplayerc.exe" "%1")
any ideas on that?
best regards,
Marc

Marc, this problem will be fixed in Servant Salamander 2.5 RC2.
Bug was introduced in SS 2.5 RC1: some system events were wrongly interpreted as disk (volume) removal.
SS 2.5 RC2 will be released this month. Could you please then confirm the problem is solved?

Hi,
the same "problem" (better: "funny behaviour") occurs on my system.
To check DVD data located on the hard drive I usually doubleclick VIDEO_TS.VOB. This starts the Windows Media Player. When closing the Media Player Servant Salamander has jumped back to C:\.
The DVD data contains video streams recorded using a TV card, arranged using GUI for DVDAuthor - but I don't think that has any influence.
I installed Salamander RC2 today, but the "Problem" remains. Windows Media Player starts up, and before it actually starts playing the video data, Salamander already jumps to C:\.
It happens for VOB and IFO files.
It does not happen, if Media Player has been running already.
I use Windows MediaPlayer 10 on a Windows XP Prof.
Regards
Michael

Michael, we will definetely look at this problem! Could you test a special debug version of Salamander for us?

It's fixed now. Thanks to Michael (grizzly) for testing! It will be available in version 2.5 RC3.
