Parts of the configuration dialog pages are not visible

No idea why that happens... do you know which display related settings in my system could be the reason for this? I have put up two screenshots on my web server, I'm trying to include them here.
Thanks!
Oliver

Do you use WindowBlinds or some other skin software?

And what about screen DPI settings. Sometimes, in non 96 DPI, dialogs are damaged like this (but only in very few cases, conjunction dpi & nonstandard driver, usualy other DPI works normally). DPI setting is somewhere in screen properties (sorry, couldn't describe better, because I'm using CZ version and don't know english labels and titles).

No. But thinking of it, I'm not using the standard Windows XP theme, but instead the Royale theme (I think that was originally for the media center, but has been released for XP). Maybe that's the reason?
No, I tested it. Switching back to the standard Windows XP theme doesn't change anything. I also checked my font size setting, but that's standard size (96 dpi). Hm.

These problems are often related to the dialog box font. It doesn't look like the standard Windows XP Tahoma font.
Could you change this font to Tahoma (Windows Desktop > Display Properties > Appearance > Advanced) and restart Servant Salamander?

I'm sorry, I didn't have much time recently.
About the font - I have indeed configured a different from default standard font, but not via the control panel applets. This requires a few changes to the registry, to make Segoe UI (the new Windows Vista standard font) the default on Windows XP. So you think that would be the problem here? Interesting... but shouldn't an application show its dialogs correctly regardless of the system standard font?
I don't think it'll be easy to try and change the font back completely... it requires reboot and everything. Maybe I'll try it one day when I have the time...

Yes, under standard conditions Servant Salamander shows correct dialog boxes
If you will find which Registry change causes this problem, we can try to fix it. Let us know.

I see what you mean. This was mainly targeted at your comment that sometimes problems like this arose from changing the dialog font in the Display settings. Anyway, I can't help but wonder... the font is correctly installed in that it's being used most everywhere, it's a normal Windows font, even the dialog itself uses it, but still it's the source of these miscalculations? Funny.

I'm pretty sure I found the changes I made. Simple, really. Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\FontSubstitutes, the four values "Helv", "Helvetica", "MS Shell Dlg" and "MS Shell Dlg 2" must be set to "Segoe UI" - or probably to any other font, I don't assume this is a problem with the particular font. But who knows

Oliver, every font has different metrics. The standards are standards for a reason

I like that font though, it's so smooth. It's called Segoe UI? Any idea who developed it, etc? Thanks Oliver.
