Directories Compare command doesn't reflect Filter setting

1. Start out with two machines on a network.
2. Ensure both machines have "show hidden files and folders" option turned on in XP folder options.
3. Choose what should be an identical photo folder on each machine - make sure each folder contains a "thumbs.db" file.
4. Filter the following out of each display pane: desktop.ini;thumbs.db
(In other words, "Use filter: desktop.ini;thumbs.db"
5. Display each folder (not the contents) in the Salamander panes.
6. Click Commands/Compare Directories on Salamander menubar.
7. Check only "Content" and "Compare Subdirectories"
8. Click "OK"
9. The folders will be flagged as not comparing.
10. Drill down one level on each pane, so as to show the contents of each folder.
11. Run the compare again, just like before.
12. The contents will show up as identical.
13. The reason they are flagged in 9. is because Compare flags the thumbs.db file as not equal, even though it is filtered out of the display.
14. If you rerun all the steps without any filters, you will see Compare flagging the thumbs.db file in step 12. If it does not, it is only because the thumbs.db files happen to be equal, which is not usually the case between machines.
Having said all that, if this is the way Compare is supposed to work, please consider providing some way to exclude certain files when doing a Compare, just like you do on the pane filter. (desktop.ini, picasa.ini, thumbs.db, etc.)
