Hi Jan Patera,

When i scroll to the next file containing a question mark i get this error:
Could not open file C:\test?.jpg: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.

If i select test?.jpg and press F3 Pictview can open it without a problem.

:?:

AFAIK question mark is not valid character for filename in Windows, how did you create it? (Or it is at least not recommended, because ?, * are used as wildcards - I am not sure how would FindNext and other WinApi functions act on this filename when using mask '?')

Just found out with irfanview the ? was a unicode character that's why SS displayed it as a question mark.

Yes, that's problem with Unicode in filename. We bypass this problem using short (DOS) filenames when you press F3 on name.

We have the Unicode support on our Roadmap.

hm.. for me F3 is "view the file" and it wont work ... w2k sp4 explorer shows also the "?" but u can simply rename the unicode chars there
