Hey @Jan Rysavy,

if you still search for C++ Devs for the Unicode Update, give me a sign.

I have Windows C++ skills, started in the good old MFC days ;-)

Currently my daily toolbox is filled with SAP ABAP, Java, dotNet, Python. But for a better Work-Life-Balance i would willing a little bit C++ again :-)

Besides this is Salamander still my daily bread'n'butter tool and i switch it only if i need to handle files with special unicode chars.

Bump
Is there still a chance that we will get a Unicode version anytime soon?

I would love to see the source code to Altap Salamander on GitHub. I've been thinking about contributing to DoubleCommander to get it up to par with Salamander. But that program just completely lacks a good search function.
Better to improve things in Altap Salamander.

How it is going with open-sourcing the AS? Is there any progress?

I'd repeat my suggestion - if it's too much effort to publish all the source codes at once, please consider publishing the sources by components, for example plugin by plugin.

Also, if there's any work I can help you with, just ping me, and I'll find some spare time. I contributed to some projects on github, so I'm quite familiar with it.

Looking forward for the sources, I have some ideas how to improve some AS features, but without having access to the source codes I can't do anything...

That's nice to hear.
Recently I bumped into Fileside ( https://www.fileside.app/ ).

(That sort of breaks the orthodox file manager paradigm ;-).)

It is sad that on the anniversary of the announcement, we still have no development on this matter.
