I use the File Comparator plugin a lot. Normally, I let it determine the file type automatically. But sometimes, I want to force it to Binary, for instance to spot differences in line endings.
I chose Advanced Options, and selected Binary. Then I spotted the Ignores section above it. But... that's not relevant in a binary comparison, is it? The same holds for the Line Ends and Unicode Options, I guess.
Some suggestions:
- disable (gray out) the irrelevant sections if Binary is selected
- swap the order or the Ignores and Files Type sections, because Ignores depends on Files Type
That's all!
