Hi, I'm using some wcx plugins + TC proxy in AS but I found, that for some reason there is no available to use "pack" command from AS. I'm able to copy files from archive with TC Proxy + wcx plugin, but I'm not able to copy file back to archive. For example mpq.wcx (http://www.zezula.net). is is problem od proxy, as or something else?

Unfortunately the proxy plugin does not support the packing function yet.

Any chance to implement it? :-)

I'll review my to-do list and check out how much effort would this involve.

Updated version of the Total Commander Proxy plugin is available for download. This version extends support for WCX plugins. Packing to and deleting from archive in panel and packing and unpacking from dialog is now supported.

Thanks for this plugin, it's great. I finally see my mobile (old Nokia) in file list, among other fine solutions :)

I wanted to ask, has anyone managed working temp panel?

I tried three different TC plugins:
- TempPanel.wfx
- TempDrive.wfx
- VirtualPanel.wfx

They all failed in doing anything and when file is copied to panel it freezes salamander and must be terminated with task manager

I tried to set it up again with the Office 2007 plugin on my new PC.
Somehow it does not work anymore. Any hints?

Thanks

Here is new plugin which works great in AS thanks to this bridge: http://rghost.net/users/arax/releases/Outside-In-Lister
Outside In Lister is a powerful document viewer based on Oracle® Outside In Viewer
that can access the information in more than 500 file formats.
[edit] -----------------------------------------------------

I wanted to check for update on this TC plugin and noticed that above link is broken
Also to save possible AS user trouble, here are quick steps I needed to update/install this plugin:

- plugin name is changed from "oilister" to "ulister"

1. download from here: http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/oilister.html

2. open "readme.html" file from downloaded archive and follow installation instruction; in summary - why make things simple when we can complicate (though probably licence issue):
- create Oracle account
- now you can download desired archives
- copy all files from "..\redist" folders to TC plugin folder
- associate desired files in AS viewer settings

This version is much faster on my PC, so I'd recommend update although above end-user installation trouble

1. make subfolder for your TC plugin in AS plugins folder
2. copy there all TC plugin files
3. copy also tcproxy.spl
4. make additional subfolder named "lang" and copy "english.slg" inside

example structure for sumatraPDF plugin:

Code: Select all

>dir/b/s

C:\Program Files\Altap Salamander\plugins\wlx_sumatraPDF\pluginst.inf
C:\Program Files\Altap Salamander\plugins\wlx_sumatraPDF\SumatraPDF.wlx
C:\Program Files\Altap Salamander\plugins\wlx_sumatraPDF\tcproxy.spl
C:\Program Files\Altap Salamander\plugins\wlx_sumatraPDF\lang
C:\Program Files\Altap Salamander\plugins\wlx_sumatraPDF\lang\english.slg

The english.slg file is part of the tcproxy.zip archive you can download from the first post. Just follow the installation instructions from the readme.txt file you will find in that archive and let us know if you encounter any problem.

Great! Works! Thanks!
I had the idea that the slg must come from the actual plugin that is loaded by tcproxy.
