wrong icons shown in both panels

Hello everyone,
I used Salamander 1.6 beta 3 for years, and just bought 2.5RC1.

I am not satisfied with the way the icons for the different documents types are shown. They are still ok in 1.6 (check http://ulf.de/sala16.jpg). And Salamander 2.5RC1 looks like this:

The icon view looks just the same, only bigger...

Any ideas?

Cheers, Ulf

Hi Ulf

could you please check if "Drives | [x] Use simple Icons"
is checked ?

You'll find this unter "Options | Configuration..."

HTH ?

What about folders icons ?? They can be different too but all look the same...
"Use simle Icons" option doesn't work in this case...

I can't confirm your observation. On my systems (WinXP SP2, SS 2.5 RC1) folder icons work just as expected.

Please check again and make sure, your settings are correct for the type of drive you are looking at. Also make sure these icons show up in Microsoft Explorer. If you can't find any problem here, try to disable any shell extensions which might possibly interfere (any non-MS and non-Altap ones to be sure). ShellExView might be helpful in checking out your shell extensions.

Well, you are almost right ;)
On my WinXP SP2, SS 2.5 RC1 icons of hidden folders or my special profile folders (like Favorites, Recent, Programs group in Start menu) look correctly. But I have problem with SVN (Subversion - version control system) folders. They have special icons but they don't show. Turning off all my non-MS shell extensions doesn't help so I think there is a problem with SVN shell extension, not with SS. What is interesting, that in Windows Explorer everything is ok.

Tortoise SVN (CVS) uses Overlay Icons -- special type of Windows Explorer Shell Extension. Overlay Icons are not supported by Servant Salamander, we have this problem on ALTAP Roadmap: http://www.altap.cz/salam_en/newver.html#roadmap
