Viewing tekst-files in one of the panels

Post by tcalis »

Hi,

I was trying to set the left panel for (text)viewing the file that is selected in the right panel.
This would be handy to quickly see contents when using with a lot of text files.

I am using v2.52 for the moment, with full license.

Is it possible to use Salamander like this?

KR,

I saw "tekst" & thought that I was going to be reading a CZ post ;-).

A search for similar posts & or workarounds: http://forum.altap.cz/search.php?keywor ... mit=Search

Note that once you have opened 1 (textual) file using the (internal) viewer, you can space/backspace to view the next/preceding file (regardless of its type). So if you had a directory of all text files, it would work as expected. If you had a mixed directory, opened the text file first, then spaced to the next file (say a .dll), it would be presented to you in hex, but the next text file would be presented as text. (Perhaps you can force all files to display as text?)

Not the same as what you want, but it might fit the bill?

The pic is just for nostalgic purposes :-).
