Re: Windows 7 compatibility?
Yes, Altap Salamander 2.52 is compatible with Windows 7 (both 32-bit and 64-bit) and works fine there.

Re: Windows 7 compatibility?
Change from Beta you got for free to a commercial release is definitely not an upgrade.jacinthey wrote:If I upgraded to the "beta" version of Windows 7, which Window 7 retail version should i purchase? Do I purchase upgrade?
Definitely upgrade is from previous versions.jacinthey wrote:Will it allow me to upgrade from the beta windows 7? Or will it only upgrade if I am using a previous version of Windows?
Re: Windows 7 compatibility?
I am running Windows 7 Ultimate with my registered copy of Salamander and it works GREAT. I am *so* glad I made this purchase some time ago. I live in the file manager, and nothing out there even comes close to it (and believe me when I say I have tried them ALL). Good job!
Re: Windows 7 compatibility?
Have been running Altap Salamander on Windows 7 since Jan 2009. Works great!

Re: Windows 7 compatibility?
Windows 7 has features Vista lacked, such as its multi-touch screen features, new drivers will be required. Hardware manufacturers may also choose to do new Windows 7 drivers to take advantage of under-the-hood improvements in the new version.
