Renamer PlugIn, Change only 1st letter upper Case

Post by Patrik »

Hello friends

I am looking for a procedure to use the renamer plugin to change my hundreds of folders to a proper way.
Change only 1st letter of a sentence upper case, and leave the rest as it is.

When I have e.g.
something_V123_BRG or 123 solid
it should become
Something_V123_BRG or 123 solid

Most functions are in the program to change the case, all words upper or lower, but not only at the beginning of a sentence.

Is there a chance to get this done ?

Best regards
Patrik

Hi Patrik, please use following settings (regular expressions, replace first character with upper case form)

Note: it is a good idea to have some backup when something goes wrong ;-)

Another way, without regular expressions, using Substrings:

Hello Jan

It is just unbelievable how fast your reply is/was and so easy the procedure.
It is exactly what I was looking for.

I was using the forum and internet for explanations and there had been similar requests but awfully complicated answers.
And as the "expressions" used in this renamer is not really my business, I was somehow lost.
But still, I have so many usefull plugins which helps me in my daily work I do no regreat to have purchased the Salamander many years ago.

I wish you a very nice day.
