If your competitor is no longer supporting it, then follow.

But, IMHO, AS is behind the times on some features then your competitor and your competitor is a better 2 Window + Tabs file manager then AS.

Do what you feel you have to do to make your product better than your competitor but without loosing customers.

When Windows XP SP3 and Windows Server 2003 (or before) are no longer officially supported, please do not check the OS version actively and refuse. I'm sure almost all functionality will work just fine.

Unfortunately W2K/XP/Vista compatibility will be broken as soon as we will stop using (new) API functions using LoadLibrary() / GetProcAddress() and use standard libraries instead. We know it for sure because it is exactly problem we are used to fix - ensuring Salamander is working on Windows 2000.

XP an WS2003 are already out of the extended support phase. True, the XP POS SYSTEM edition is still supported but only till April 12th 2016. There are fer other Embedded editions, but it was never stated that they are supported by Altap.
I really think that the "umbilical cord" should be cut now. As stated before, older versions will still work for those who want them to use.
