Buying a Microsoft code-signing certificate from Thawte?

I don't think I get this. I read the article (some unknown's guy blog rants) and I see that there are some issues with the signing process. How does it affect me as a Salamander user? Why should I stop using Windows Vista as you suggested?

The post itself is a reply to the question in the subject:

A: Don’t use Vista.

It means you shouldn't use Vista for generating code signing certificate from Thawte, because you cannot back the certificate up or transfer it to another computer :(
