Right panel to show contents of selected left panel folder

Post by djlewis »

(How) can I get the right panel to automatically show the contents of the selected folder from the left panel, Explorer style?

Sorry if this is totally obvious, but I've searched help and the UI and I cannot make it happen. All I get is the right panel is just another list of files in a folder, unlinked to the left panel.

Thanks. --David.

You can't do this in AS, because it has different paradigm in compare with Explorer.

You can use this shortcut as workaround:
Ctrl+Shift+Left/Right - Open the focused directory or archive or locate the focused file in the other panel. Use the arrow in the direction to other panel to activate other panel (the arrow in opposite direction does not activate other panel).

Thanks... that's not a bad way to do it. I do wish, however, there was a button and/or right-mouse-click operation... or better yet, a mode.

Where do I find that command?

Hi David, from menu Options > Customize choose the Top Toolbar item.
From available commands add the Focus Name in Other Panel item.

Ensure the Top Toolbar is visible in the Options > Show menu.
