I don't understand what you want to achieve. Please elaborate. Give an example and explain the use case.

Hello,

I have 2 drives and I want to reorganize my files and folders by copying them from one drive to another. If the paths are right for me so I want to preserve the tree otherwise, I want to make some changes on the tree without having to completely regenerate the tree.

I hope this is clear.

Thank you for your help!

If you copy a directory, the tree structure inside it is preserved by default and will be the same in the other location.

If you want to do something special, you can for example try the Options button in the Copy/Move dialog and use the Files named field to move only some files and leave the rest behind, in the original location.

If you want something else, give us a concrete example, so we can better understand how to help you.

Hello,

      Firstly thank you for listening.

Indeed, my application requires some precision.

      Wish I could move the file. \ Dir1 \ Dir2 \ ... \ Toto *
      to get the file e: \ Temp \ Dir11000 \ Dir2 \ ... \ * Toto.. like you
can see, however, requires some modification of the tree
destination relative to the source tree, but I will wish
able to move each file or group of files selected
selected to modify the destination tree by modifying
      information from the source tree.

I conducted tests with the option button in the Copy / Move
dialog and the behavior did not realize my order: I
found that the changed directory options left or right
does not seem to be saved in the options and if I ask
      copy d:\Dir1\Dir2\Toto.* to d:\Temp\Dir1\Dir2\Toto.* Dir1 is
well copied to the Temp folder but Dir2 was copied as
file not as folder and I don't know where is Toto.* ...

Thank you again for your help

You can specify the destination path in the copy/move dialog yourself.
You can copy the source path easily (Edit > Copy Path as Text (Ctrl + Alt + Insert)).
Then using the destination path, that AS fills in, and the source path from the clipboard, construct the destination path. the *.* at the end is not required.
I don't know how to handle the Toto*-part in Salamander. Try setting a filter before copying. In case there is no recursive directory handling involved, you can just first highlight the files you want to copy.
