Filter files as in Explorer detailed view

Post by Sammy »

In the detailed view of the Windows Explorer you can filter files on name, date, type and size.

I grew to like this feature so much that I start to miss it in my favoriete tool. Is there any chance that it will be added to an update soon?

It is in Dutch and I have a filter applied on the date column (EarlierThisWeek). Unfortunally I was not able to create of screenshot of the pulldown menu, but please let me know if it is not clear yet.

Filtering by names and types is implemented using filemasks (menu item Left/Right > Filter...).

For quick "filtering" by date and size, I recommend using sorting (menu item Left/Right > Sort By).

A very detailed filter is also available in the Find function (menu item Commands > Find Files and Directories...).

I have attached a screenshot of the pulldown menu.

That's where, Salamander?
Oh, I see, that's Windows Explorer (in Win7).
Can't say that I've ever looked at or seen that before.

(And now that I look at it, I think, how ridiculous. Who knows, perhaps some use that instead of a real File Manager. And look, Size All Columns to Fit. Well I'll be. An actual enhancement.)
