Hi Lexa,
There is the History of Working Directories (Opening Directory You've Worked In Recently) by pressing Alt+F12 or clicking the little triangle in the panel header.
And you can navigate back and forth the way you navigated by pressing Alt+Left-Arrow / Alt+Right-Arrow (Changing Directory). This function is available also from the Top Toolbar.
Both features are available also from the Left and Right main menu items respectively. Choose Go To from either of these menus.
Finaly, I recommend to all Salamander users to periodically read through the list of Keyboard Shortcuts
