"Executing" archives

Post by Tomas Kopal »

If I have e.g. a ".jar" file and java is associated with it, doubleclick in exploder will start the java application. In Salamander, there is currently no way how to start the program except copying the name to command line and starting through the shell. Maybe Shift+Enter could execute the file even when other, internal function is associated with the extension?

Yep: "right-click > open" is the solution (for me...)
Kind regards, KNUT

Well, yes, you can. But it's still a workaround for existing problem. What I am suggesting is to fix the problem :-).
