F2 to rename file in line option

Post by Duck »

I use salamander as a HTPC interface. Nice large font to browse media files to play. Sometimes files need to be renamed, but pressing F2 brings up a little window which is far too small to use if not sitting at the computer.

Using a keyboard for navigation, I would like to be able to rename files in line without a mouse. Ideally to have an option to reverse the behaviour of the F2 key and the 'slow double click'. Or just make F2 always rename in line.

Could this be done with a plugin? Not that I have ever written a program before though.

Yep. Plus I'm not requesting any new functionality as salamander can already edit names in line. Just a request for a bit of a tweak to the way it works.
