Change Path by Pasting

In AS 2.54 Paste (Change Directory) does not work if the path is surrounded by double quotes.
I don't know about the behaviour in earlier versions, but AS should cope with quoted paths, as this is the standard for paths with whitespaces in most cases.

Just curious, in what circumstances are you coming across paths with quotes?

For example copy of target path of any shorcut of anything within Program files folder.
