However in another project I collaborate (an Open Source alternate shell for Windows named Emerge Desktop) the single developer migrated the configs to XML using the tinyXML library...

This would be perfect for people who carry their AS in a pen

Thanks go to Eva Eden~ for the original design. I just modified it to fit my needs and now love carrying a generic configuration version of Salamander on my thumbdrive.
