It would be nice if leaving the "Find in" box empty (in Find Files and Directories) would fill it with all local drives' roots. So for me it would be C:\;D:\;E:\.
I'm not sure whether cd/dvd drives should be included. I guess mapped network drives shouldn't.
Any default would help if left empty, and I think all local drives would be the best default.
Empty "Find in"

I'd like to disagree. When I have empty 'Find in' box, it's always because I forgot to set it (to something else than All Local Drives, mostly). Anyway, I don't quite understand why you would empty the box and not fill it afterwards. It would be even easier to only rewrite it - open Find (Alt+F7) and click Add->All Local Drives (Alt+A, Alt+L) or Add->All Local and Network Drives (Alt+A, Alt+A).
