Once again: about the transfer speed over LAN.
Under Win 7/64: transferring a single sizeable file (50+MB) over WiFi (802.11ac, haven't tried wired, but shouldn't be any different).
1. Often results in hanging. To me, it mostly happens while writing to the drive connected directly to the router. That USB drive is properly mapped and works just fine with all the other software.
Furthermore, merely having this drive opened in a salamander panel causes software like Win Explorer to hang too while writing! Once salamander (or its panel) is closed everything gets back to normal.
2. The speed is low with compare to Win Explorer: salamander 8-11MB/s, WE: 37-43 MB/s (MB- megabyte).
3. While writing to any network drive Salamander often sees it as disconnected (which it, of course, isn't) and requires hitting 'Retry' to continue.
Altogether, the network copy is highly inefficient and buggy. I'm forced to use shift+f3 and use explorer all the time.
This is the case with both 2.54 & 3b3
