Hi,
An up on this subject: this morning, I installed TortoiseSVN 1.6.8 (I had 1.6.7), and the icon overlays are gone in Salamander (they were there with 1.6.7). They show OK in the explorer. Anybody facing the same problem?
My config:
Windows 7 Utimate 64
TortoiseSVN 1.6.8 (both 64 and 32, installed in that order)
Salamander 2.53 beta 1
Missing Tortoise SVN overlay icons
Missing Tortoise SVN overlay icons
Additional info: I uninstalled 1.6.8 (both 64 & 32), then re-installed 1.6.7 32bits, and the overlays are back in Salamander. I then wanted to uninstall 1.6.7 to test 1.6.8 32 alone, and the Tortoise uninstaller complained about Salamander being open. I realized that the 1.6.8 uninstaller did not complain (Salamander was also open when uninstalling). Maybe that can help. Cheers.

Re: Missing Tortoise SVN overlay icons
Did you tried this?
Important Note:
You might have to do a repair install (start the installer again, then choose 'repair') after you've updated to 1.6.8. Otherwise the overlay icons might not show up properly. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Re: Missing Tortoise SVN overlay icons
Well, sort of: after de-installing, I reinstalled, but 32-bit version first, and it worked.stepand76 wrote:Did you tried this?
Thanks for the advice anyway, problem solved.
Re: Missing Tortoise SVN overlay icons
Hi,
I think I've an equal problem. I'm using WinXP SP3 32bit with AltapSalamander 2.52. I had Tortoise 1.6.7 running, all was fine.
This morning I did the following:
- install Tortoise 1.6.8
- Overlays and right-click-menu (Shell-Extension) where gone, but they are in windows explorer
- removed Tortoise 1.6.8, installed 1.6.7
- Overlays and right-click-menu still gone
- removed, installed, repair-installed Altap 2.5.2
- installed, Altap 2.5.3beta
- removed beta, installed 2.5.2
- Overlays and right-click-menu still gone, but they are in windows explorer
Who can help me?

Re: Missing Tortoise SVN overlay icons
That's different from my case: icons were back with 1.6.7. Did you log off/on between each step? Did you try a repair install of Tortoise itself?KlausK wrote:- removed Tortoise 1.6.8, installed 1.6.7

Please check Options > Configuration > Icon Overlays.KlausK wrote:Hi,

Re: Missing Tortoise SVN overlay icons
I checked the overlay settings of Tortoise and Salamander. Both are enabled, so icon overlay in Salamander should work.
What is missing is the context menu if I do a click on a folder (within Salamander). I think that's the reason why the icon overlay is not working properly.
And I let Tortoise try to repair itself.

Yes, that was the original note - you need to repair-install Tortoise SVN.KlausK wrote:And I let Tortoise try to repair itself.

Ok sorry, maybe this was a misleading sentence, but it should mean: I did a repair-install of Tortoise.Ether wrote:Yes, that was the original note - you need to repair-install Tortoise SVN.KlausK wrote:And I let Tortoise try to repair itself.
