Recovering Hotpaths

Post by docfxit »

When I started Salamander 2.52 it gave me an error saying the registry was corrupt. I saved the Altap registry and then let it continue to rewrite the registry entries. I'd like to restore the hotpaths I had configured. I created a reg file with the hotpaths in it and installed it.

Code: Select all

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Altap\Altap Salamander 2.52\Hot Paths]

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Altap\Altap Salamander 2.52\Hot Paths\0]

"Path"="\\\\Tasoff\\Dnload"
"Visible"=dword:00000001

I was not in Salamander when I installed the reg file. After starting Salamander I still don't have my hot hotpaths.

What do I need to do to get my hotpaths back?

Thank you,

Docfxit

PS: After correcting the registry Salamander gave me an error with one plugin. I couldn't continue without reporting it. I couldn't report it because I was in safe mode in XP Pro. I selected to not report it again. Now that I am back in regular mode I'd like to know how to get the error back so I can report it.

I copied the contents of the .reg file, as you posted here, saved it and installed it and I got your Hot Paths all right. Try to install it again, and make sure there are no Salamander instances running.

Thank you for testing it. I got it to work finally.

Thank you,

Docfxit

PS: Any ideas on my PS: above?

Not really. The thing with error messages is that you have to remember or write down what it said, because when you don't know what the error was, we probably won't, too.

If you don't know which plugin it was, I'm afraid I can't help you. However, maybe the bug report has been stored somewhere, but I'd need the developers to answer that question.
