Network Neighborhood: how to get rid of unneeded folders

Post by Guest »

When I open "Connect Network Drive" and than "Folders" I get plenty of folders. Some of them I have used long time ago. I can not find any way to delete the ones which I don't need any more. With other words HOW DO I DELETE THIS FOLDERS?

I am sorry, but I have no idea how to delete these folders. Mentioned dialog box is displayed and managed by MS Windows and we have no control over displayed items.

I believe there will be some way (delete some items in Windows Registry for example). Does anybody know?

If you mean obsolete items in My Network Places - just delete them :)

I guess you are using winXP. If so follow these steps:

1) in Salamander press Shift + F7
2) Copy & Paste this string REG:\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Ftp\Accounts
3) find out which connection you do not want to see in the list of connection and delete registry key with same name.

I am sorry, but in this thread is discussed how to maintenance shortcuts in Network Neighborhood, not ftp accounts. So what is the point of your advice?
