Dealing with faulty shell extensions

We just solved problem with Altap Salamander freezing on start. Problem was caused (again) by faulty shell extension, in this case it was C:\Program Files\Touro Cloud Backup\ShellExtension\ShellExtension.dll. Problem was fixed by uninstallation of Touro Cloud Backup. Disabling shell extension using http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html would be enough.

I'm posting this because we received dump from interesting software: WhatIsHang (http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/what_is_hang.html). Problem was pretty obvious:

Modules found in the stack:
C:\Program Files\Touro Cloud Backup\ShellExtension\ShellExtension.dll
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\KERNELBASE.dll , Microsoft Corporation , Microsoft® Windows® Operating System, Windows NT BASE API Client DLL
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\advapi32.dll , Microsoft Corporation , Microsoft® Windows® Operating System, Advanced Windows 32 Base API
C:\Program Files (x86)\Altap Salamander 2.54\SALRTL.DLL , ALTAP , Altap Salamander, User-Generated Microsoft (R) C/C++ Runtime Library
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\IMM32.DLL , Microsoft Corporation , Microsoft® Windows® Operating System, Multi-User Windows IMM32 API Client DLL
