Ctrl+P or Files->Security->Permissions in the menu brings up the file properties dialog instead of the file permissions dialog.

The obsolete (NT4) Permissions dialog box was removed in 2.5 RC3, it doesn't work well on Windows 2000, XP, and Vista and was out of our control.

Instead the Security page of Properties dialog box is opened (if it is available from Windows Explorer).

To display the Security tab:

(Windows XP Professional)
http://www.microsoft.com/resources/docu ... x?mfr=true

(Windows XP Home)
http://www.lockergnome.com/nexus/window ... e-edition/

But here always the first page ("Allgemein" in German version of Windows XP) of the file properties dialog is displayed so I have to change manually to the security page.

When will this be fixed?

Its quite annoying bcuz i use it daily!

I like it the way it was in RC2, worked properly for me on XP / Win2k.

I don't want to wait weeks / months for next version and bugfixed strg-p.

I can see "Sicherheit" but it starts always with "Allgemein" using RC3.

RC2 worked and had its own Window to set File-Security, kinda liked it.
Was easy to handle, much better than Windows way to set it.a

I think that the permissions dialog should be re-added at least if AS is run under NT4 (in RC3 the function is grayed out).

I think there should be the possebility via Option to change
Strg-P Style how to show Security-Dialog. Windows / Servant Salamander wise.
(Maybe an System auto-detection will do fine.)

Why releasing a ''2.5 Final'' when there is still a known Bug ?

To answer here might have prevented opening a new thread.
I wanted an answer, not a locked thread.

Kindly go and explain what are you going to do about this bug plz.
