Wow I sure do want this to work! Thanks for your efforts!

I struggled somewhat with the installation instructions. Here is my revision.

1. Identify a TC wfx plugin to add to Salamander.
2. Make a new folder in the Salamander plugins folder named appropriately.
3. Put a copy of tcfs.spl in that folder
4. Put copy of the wfx file in that folder, too.
5. Go to Salamander>Plugins>Plugin Manager...
6. Click Add
7. Navigate to the wfx folder containing the plugin and select tcfs.spl
8. You can Test at this point.
9. Repeat Steps 1-8 for each plugin.
9. Close the plugin manager
10. Select a new plugin in the AltF1/F2 list, corresponding files will appear in panel.

Thanks manison for your plugin for .wfx plugins from TC. it works fine.

Question:
Plugins have icons which are displayed only when the plugin is selected/active. Those icons are not in displayed in the Change Drive Menu. There is nothing or check mark at selected plugin. It can be seen on screenshot posted by manison. Is it possible to be displayed those icons in the change drive menu?

ino, it's a plugin responsibility to provide an icon for Alt-F1/F2 menu. It's not supported by the proxy plugin right now, since I want to implement more important features first. The icon will definitely appear in some subsequent version of the plugin.

When you are trying to install this plugin without any TC ones, you'll get error messages:

---------------------------
Total Commander File System Proxy
---------------------------
Initialization of the Total Commander plugin failed.
---------------------------

and next

---------------------------
Error
---------------------------
Plugin (C:\Program Files\Salamander\plugins\tcfs\tcfs.spl) has not been loaded. Plugin is not valid Altap Salamander Plugin or some plugin internal error has occurred.
---------------------------

I think that should be better to change second message to something like "No suitable plugin was found ... etc.".

But on the other side, great work. Keep it up ;-)

Raptor, There's no way to change the second message since it comes from Salamander itself when a plugin fails to initialize. I can change the first message, on the other hand it has no meaning to use Total Commander Proxy without any Total Commander plugin.

Thanks ;-)

Updated test version available for download.

Major improvements since last version:
* improved icon handling in a panel
* improved the view (F3) function
+ copy/move (F5/F6) from a plugin to the local file system implemented
+ execute a file (enter/dbl click) function implemented
+ directory line hot-tracking
+ language dependent resources moved into the SLG language pack

Please test with care.

What operation? The progress window does not appear during the operation? Can't you use the Cancel button?
k0nelupy wrote:speed
How about speed comparison with Total Commander?
