Sorry, but this thread has become confusing... I thought this topic was about "Branch View" or "Flat View"... NOT the (hoped for) folder tree panel, which is a completely separate issue and should be implemented into the Salamander interface differently from Branch (or Flat) view.

Hoping for this function also. I call it the "recurse subfolders" mode. Shows all files that match the filter criteria in the current folder and below. Great for feeding to the multi-rename tool. Of course, should allow all customary file functions... delete, rename, copy, move, etc, plus ...

I too prefer INI settings files instead of the registry.

I am a long time registered user of Salamander and really appreciate the attention to detail the developers have shown. A "no wine before its time" approach.

Salamander is smooth, fast, configurable, and does not crash on my system.
