Re: Unicode problem s archivem RAR

Re: Bug in PictView navigation
I found a bug. When I view images by F3 in Altap Salamander, and I see 2.jpg, and delete it from disk, and go forward then I see 4.jpg, not 3.jpg. I can see 3.jpg only when I go backward (backspace): I am afraid this problem is common to all viewers and not only to PictView. This problem occurs onl...

Re: Shred files - partial shred?
The files created are null filled. Or at least it sure appears that way? I think that Ether wanted to point out that the utility creates a sparse file. It means that it is noted in the file system that "here follows 18GB of zeros" instead of really writing them (and instead of shredding w...

Re: Bug in date/time change of file
Changing a files creation or change date and time (Ctrl + F2) has one hour offset. Setting a time of 22.00.00 changes the file to 23.00.00 for instance. This is on 2.54 german. What kind of disk are you doing this on? NTFS? Local or remote? Did you restart Salamander since the Daylight time ended l...

Re: Set AS Viewer to see chars in my locale?
To be more messed up, here is what AS outputs if I compare "test" (CP 866) created in command window and "test2" (CP 1251) created in editor (notice correctly displayed Cyrillic characters):Any comments? :) Seems like you have found a minor bug: Normally, the FileCompare plugin ...

Re: Set AS Viewer to see chars in my locale?
Seems to me AS was run for the first time in a Western locale. It shouldn't be that hard to view files in my locale (or ANSI) which is Cyrillic, Windows CP-1251. Here is word "Salamander" in Cyrillic "Саламандер": Options/Configuration/Viewers and Editors/Internal Viewer/Appearan...

Re: Incorrect free space on mounted drives inside network sh
I believe XPiS meant it is not possible to query the space on the second (sub)share. I am having the same problem: a Mac OS disk mounted to XP over SMB has links to additional disks on the same (Mac) machine. The free space of the first disk is always reported. I also remember having similar problem...

Re: Ignoring names in Compare Directories
So, you actually want to compare every file in source folder with every file in the target folder? What results are you expecting to get? If src contains files A, B and C, and the target contains just D, but A and D actually have the same content (and timestamps etc.), should then D be marked as di...
