Re: What next? Vote please: x64 version or UAC support
We have internal "pre-alpha" x64 version of Altap Salamander core and some plugins already on our computers. There is a lot of work to do before we will be able to release it, but it is definitely coming. Would you like to confirm it for others? Please contact me at jan.rysavy@altap.cz, y...

x64 version is on the way, see: http://forum.altap.cz/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4371 http://www.altap.cz/salamander/roadmap/ Jan....you keep referring to the Roadmap that keeps changing. 64bit has been around for several and I've finally gotten to x64 for over a year now. "If" you follow y...

Re: Any idea about the date of the next release?
Really unbelievable....answer is always the same. I have basically given up on seeing another release and am looking for a replacement. Unfortunately Total Commander is not in the picture.

Changing Hard Coded Link "Documents"
Is there a way to change where the link Documents points to? My Documents reside on drive D vs C and would like to open that specific folder.

Re: Status
Dude...I have not yet began to be rude. If you aren't a developer and have no authority to have an "OFFICIAL RESPONSE" from Altap, then clam it shut. Jan has already made an official response and tones like yours will definately move people away from the product. ...and NO...Salamander STI...

Many of us are waitng excitingly for the beta release. Can we expect the beta to be ready in Aug / Sept? Its the same old story. Problems can and will allways arise so I believe the answer is "when its done". Hey, don't be sad. Look how long it took to bring Duke Nukem Forever to life :-)...

Re: Status
I sincerely with all these delays and excuses that the x64 version will be worth the wait. Salamander is way behind the times and TotalCommander is way ahead. There are many time I wanted to make the switch and start customizing TC for my own use, but I am loyal to Salamander and decided to wait. Bu...

I've been checking in every so often and I see nothing new. What is going on with Salamander? How soon before an x64 version comes out? Other then "It's on the Roadmap", is there anything new?

Re: W7 Enterprise - Adding Salamander to Righ Click Context
Oh... Then it's maybe a shell extension that does it. Could you post a HTML report from ShExView ? I took a look with that program and there is nothing that stands out. The KEY area is the same. You are aware that in Windows x64, Salamander will not show all of the registry? No, I did not even thin...

Been there already, can't find it. Just like Manage is on the right context click and that cannot be found.Ether wrote:Do a registry search for 'Gigatweaker' then.vld wrote:So it must use a different area for Enterprise.

Re: W7 Enterprise - Adding Salamander to Righ Click Context
Here's the thing. That KEY area: [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}\ does exist on Enterprise 7. But you add a key in there, it does not display on the Computer right click context. I was using a program called Gigatweaker and it has an option to put itself on the right ...

W7 Enterprise - Adding Salamander to Righ Click Context
I've been trying to figure out how to add Altap Salamander to the Computer right mouse click context menu and I can't find the key area. I have been able to successfully add it to W7 Professional, but if I use the same key area, it does not appear on the Windows 7 Enterprise. This is the key I am us...

Re: AS254 - W7x64 & System32
Great...good workaround. I have never noticed the C:\Windows\Sysnative folder.
Now slightly off topic but similar question. How do I get the UserMenu to execute files within the System32 folder? Using the command $(SysDir)\FileName.exe does not find the file.
