At the rate Salamander development occurs... I won't live long enough to see most of the enhancements anyway.

Sorry to sound so cynical and people certainly have rights to their own priorities, but Salamander must have the most glacial development life-cycle of all active software.

(Sigh)

IMO Salamander is very mouse-able!

The ability to have a center toolbar and separate "local" toolbars in each panel header is ample evidence that the developers understand about us mouse users...

Is there any hope for new features this year? Salamander development cycles are so long. :(

This is yet another example where supporting the TC Content plugin architecture (wdx) for lister columns would greatly leverage Salamander's usability and functionality...

Display/Sort by Creation Date

Please add the capability to display Creation Date and Time as columns in the file list.

I really needed that today and had to use another tool instead of Salamander.

Thanks!

Total Commander has only one feature Salamander that is still missing This is a patently absurd remark and those of you not familiar with TC should not take it too seriously. There are MANY things missing from Salamander but present in TC. Most of that functionality is already listed in the Roadmap...

Wow I sure do want this to work! Thanks for your efforts! I struggled somewhat with the installation instructions. Here is my revision. 1. Identify a TC wfx plugin to add to Salamander. 2. Make a new folder in the Salamander plugins folder named appropriately. 3. Put a copy of tcfs.spl in that folde...

Any Chance of Delphi?

I'm too old to learn C++. Was hoping for the headers to be translated into Delphi, too.

Any chance?

Or at least when the tabbed folder interface comes, the tabs themselves should remember sorts and filters.

I implemented this sort mode some time ago, and... it was messy during (un)selecting names. Each time you hit Insert/Space key, the (un)selected item jumped away. Sometimes it jumped below the cursor so whole listing scrolled up. Simply, strange look and feel. I see what you mean... but having the ...

In Dopus (in optional checkbox mode) the user may click in the check box to select/deselect the file. Clicks elsewhere on the line do not affect the check box. The checkbox is simultaneously the selection indicator AND self-evident selector control. I'm not opposed to Salamander's behavior (though t...

IMHO this confusing behavior is a result of the fact that highlighted files and selected files are subtly different concepts in Salamander. Other file managers either don't observe the distinction, or provide another, perhaps less confusing method for persistent selections (ie, Dopus's "checkbo...

Further update... I ended up having to do the following to fix the issue: Uninstall all versions of Salamander Remove their folders (I saved config.reg and keys elsewhere) Delete all references in Registry (lots and lots of those!) Reboot Install RC3 Start RC3 >Salamander instantly exits but no erro...
