Re: Graphic driver crash while viewing pdf - 2.53 beta 1

Jan,

I just updated the driver to 197.45 released yesterday.
So far, this seems to have solved the issue. :D

Regards,
Franz

U3 ... revisited

Hi,

In late 2008 there were discussions around Salamander on U3.
Are there any news regarding this or a workaround how to run Salamander from an U3 device?

Thanks

Re: Drive Information - Volume Name - Case

Yes, it's on a FAT drive. However look at this: - First, I rename with Salamander Drive Information Clipbrd1.png - Second, this is how Explorer shows the drive name Clipbrd2.png - Third, this is how Salamander Drive Information shows the name when opened again Clipbrd3.png This stays exactly the sam...

Drive Information - Volume Name - Case

Hi

Volume names are not shown case sensitive in V2.52.
If used for renaming, it seems to accept and rename a case sensitive name.
However, it does show names in capital letters only.

Re: What next? Vote please: x64 version or UAC support

Loosing PictView would be a 'no go' for me. I would stick with the 32bit version not to loose it.

Re: Color Management of PictView Plugin

You're talking from my heart  I am using a wide-gamut monitor too since I am working a lot with pictures in Photoshop Lightroom. I expect that more and more people are using wide-gamut monitors in the future as prices are dropping. However, I always liked the PictView viewer to quickly go over...

Re: Color Management of PictView Plugin

While further testing I found that it is not color managed ... unfortunately :(
Are there any plans to change that?

Thanks

Color Management of PictView Plugin

Hi

Is the PictView plugin Color Managed? Does it read and respect the icm profile assigned to the display in the OS?

Thanks

Re: W7 - ; in Change Drive Menu

What part of this specification doesn't Windows 7 adhere to? Look for where the 'My ..' files are placed. According the spec they are one level below/inside the 'personal' - as it is in XP. This seperates the users stuff from let's call it system stuff that resides on the 'personal' level. In W7 MS...

From the link Jan posted: This describes how it is on my XP system. However, W7 does not adhere to this specification  CSIDL_MYMUSIC (FOLDERID_Music) The file system directory that serves as a common repository for music files. Re: W7 - ; in Change Drive Menu

I post some regkeys Shell folders from my XP here, so maybe you can see the change in the structure: It's all in German, but its exactly the same for the English version after all. Re: W7 - ; in Change Drive Menu

OK, thank you guys. Actually, I want to change it in Windows because I very much dislike the new behavior that most of the programs use the documents folder as their default place to put settings or whatever. Before, this was at the root of the User-folder and I want to put it back there. Moving the...
