A sample .svb file?
You're talking about Find (Alt+F7) & further 'Search file content'?
What are you searching for & what settings do you have enabled (including Advanced, if any)?

What icon pack?
And what was the message the SDK gave?
And just what did you do to "fix" things?

Re: Application often turns unresponsive
During an unresponsive, throw WhatIsHang at it & see what it returns. As far as unresponsive, I'd think perhaps something context-menu (ShellExView) related, or something external, like your antivirus. Further I'd think it is not "Salamander" that is unresponsive, only that Salamander ...

Re: Copy a List of selected Files as Text from the Find-Files Windows
Everything is great at finding files (names, in particular). I'll often drop to a prompt (from within Salamander) & use EGO.bat (Everything GO) to find files in a particular tree. :: EGO.BAT (Everything Go) :: From a command prompt, open a new Everything window, searching the current directory,...

Re: Oddity: Directory Compare Failed - Wondered Why
Knock on wood. No clue. It's a decade old. On 24-7. We connect to it. It works. That's about the extent of it. Buffalo LinkStation. Perhaps a model 137 ? So something like an ancient version of one of these, https://www.buffalotech.com/products/linkstation-200-series ? (Actually, & much like Sal...

Re: Directory size calculation is incorrect
You missed openssh ^. Also... /app_scoop/ is a parent directory. /app_scoop/apps/ is a child to that parent. Unless there is nothing more (taking up space) within /app_scoop/ except for the /apps/ directory (& I'd suspect there is ~50 GB of more's)... ------- In my case, I'm coming up exactly th...

Re: How to open files with extension .7z.001
Well, if you want to associate .001 files with 7-zip... Options | Configuration | Archivers | Archives Associations in Panels --> 7z, change to 7z;001. Now I take it that .7z.001 is a "split" archive? And that is a different matter. What the above does is associate .001 with 7-zip. I'm not...

Re: Special Characters in File Names
Lack of unicode support (at present).
Best you can do at this point is to try to work-around the issue, by (dare I say) opening the file in Windows Explore (link on Salamander's Toolbar).
That could work for an "every so often" item.
But if you run into this regularly ... ?
