That's different from my case: icons were back with 1.6.7. Did you log off/on between each step? Did you try a repair install of Tortoise itself?

Well, sort of: after de-installing, I reinstalled, but 32-bit version first, and it worked.
Thanks for the advice anyway, problem solved.

Missing Tortoise SVN overlay icons

Additional info: I uninstalled 1.6.8 (both 64 & 32), then re-installed 1.6.7 32bits, and the overlays are back in Salamander. I then wanted to uninstall 1.6.7 to test 1.6.8 32 alone, and the Tortoise uninstaller complained about Salamander being open. I realized that the 1.6.8 uninstaller did no...

Missing Tortoise SVN overlay icons

Hi, An up on this subject: this morning, I installed TortoiseSVN 1.6.8 (I had 1.6.7), and the icon overlays are gone in Salamander (they were there with 1.6.7). They show OK in the explorer. Anybody facing the same problem? My config: Windows 7 Utimate 64 TortoiseSVN 1.6.8 (both 64 and 32, installed...

Re: Windows 7 x64: incorrect context menu icon background

Another (related?) problem: some context menu items that appear in Explorer don't appear in Salamander's context menu. In my case, it's my text editors, TextPad and EmEditor...

Windows 7 x64: incorrect context menu icon background

Hi, I have recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on a new machine. I have also installed Salamander (of course!), and Beyond Compare. I noticed a glitch with Salamander, that can be seen below: In Windows Explorer Context Menu: http://img46.imageshack.us/img46/2743/screenshot2010022012h47.png In...

Incorrect display of right-click drag menu ?

Hello from Paris! I added a question mark to the title, because I don't know whether I'm reporting a bug or a feature... This is about additional third-party actions registered in the menu that pops up when you right-drag a file or a directory. In my case, I have TortoiseSVN and 7-zip installed. So,...

New Limitation when Installing 2.5

Hi guys, I just installed 2.5, and got through an annoying limitation that just appeared: your cannot install it any more in the same directory as the previous version. This is a pain: I have moved the shortcuts to Salamander into non-default places in my start menu, and it means I would have to upd...

You mean "Undo", I guess.
+1
Of course, it would be great to be able to set the Undo history size, and that Undo works on renames, too... ;)

Forgot to login to post the previous message, sorry... I just thought that in fact, what I would need regarding the "focused item" story would be that if there are not enough selected items for the compare (be them files or folders), then the missing one(s) default to the focused on...

New Left/Right File/Dir arguments in User Menu in 2.5 RC1

Hi, I just tried this exciting new feature, very useful for me since I use Beyond Compare for advance file/directory comparison. I ended up a bit disappointed because: 1. You have to choose FileToCompareLeft OR DirToCompareLeft in the arguments: as a result, I need 2 menu items: one that says "...
