Re: Direct integration of Oracle Outside In (oilister)

McLion, thanks for mentioning this plugin! It works much better with MS Office files than Eroiica (even with older ones), although not much better with pdf (too slow, freezes happen etc.)
But now I could finally switch to Salamander x64 without compromising the functionality!

Re: View files in VirtualBox hard drive

There are some plugins for Total Commander: Total7zip opens some virtual drives as archives. It works in Altap Salamander via tcproxy - with UDF, FAT, VHD etc. Maybe Salamander's own 7zip plugin could work this way as well? There is also Virtual Disk - but I haven't yet made it work in Salamander. A...

Re: View files in VirtualBox hard drive

I am not sure about *.vdi, but *.vhd (virtual harddrive files made by Microsoft Virtual PC) could be attached in Windows 7 just as normal hard drives.
Press 'Start', then 'Run' and print 'diskmgmt.msc' - there is 'Attach virtual hard drive' command in menu panel there.

Purchases and upgrades for 3.01

The 'Purchase' section states that there will be purchase pages for version 3.0 till end of April - but it is the end of April now and still no news... The 'Upgrade' page says that there will be offerings starting tomorrow - but the question is, for what term Salamander 3.0.1 would still work with 2...

Re: Support for Apple devices (iphone& iPad etc)

I was able to view contents of iPhone/iPad with Salamander using TC Proxy with T-pot plugin for Total Commander. It is rather old and made for iPod only, but still works for me.
So it doesn't seem to be too difficult to implement it directily, does it?

Re: New EAP Build (PB 75 expires May 1st)?

Jan Rysavy, congratulations on the release!

But as I understood, technically it is but another beta till May 1, as there are no pricing and upgrade options yet?
And could you please update http://www.altap.cz/salamander/features/compare/ with 3.0?

Re: Internal file viewer improvements

Of course, Unicode support is already high on the priority list, but I have another feature request as well: - is it possible for Salamander to keep a list of *.txt files memorizing their converting preferences? The problem is that I have a lot of *.txt files with different code pages. Automatic con...

Crash with Eroiica on *.xps file

Altap Salamander (3.0 beta 3 x86) crashes every time I try to view an *.xps file. Windows xps viewer shows it fine. (I uploaded that file here - http://yadi.sk/d/2COQq-rH9HFE4) Eroiica does open some other xps files for me, but it displays them with a lot of errors, like only a tiny fragment visible...

Re: Files are deleted when AS3b2 copies them to RAR archives

Yes, it says 'Copy'. But I already solved that problem - it lied in the 'default archiving profile' in WinRAR 5.00 beta where it was set to 'delete files after archiving'. Removing that option worked well. Sorry, it was not Salamander's fault, as it seems not to override WinRAR profile (which can be...

Files are deleted when AS3b2 copies them to RAR archives

There is a strange behaviour of Altap Salamader 3.0 beta 2 (x86): files are being deleted when adding them to a *.rar archive. I don't remember such a problem with earlier betas. Usally when you select a file (and an archive on other panel) and press F5, the file is added to that archive but still r...

Re: PictView does not show animated GIFs

I can confirm the problem - no one of animated GIF I have tried is visible via PictView (PB87 x86 + Windows 7 x64). Here is an example.

Re: Problems with RAR 4.*

One more little update: when adding files in folders into archives using F6, i.e. 'delete after archiving', then AS does not delete those folders, only files in them - empty folders remain on disk. That, as well as mentioned '/Folder' error, refers to both 2.54 and 3.0 beta. I hope that is a correct...
