Re: Ability to skip specified directories during copy/move o

I've found a workaround. It is to use FileZilla for my FTP needs. It supports file filters, and it even comes with a predefined filter for CVS and SVN directories. It also supports other features that Salamander doesn't, unfortunately, e.g. moving files around the remote location without copying the...

Ability to skip specified directories during copy/move op

I must be able to skip specified directories during copy/move operations. I use SVN, and when I copy files (and directories) to a server, for example, I need to be able to prevent .svn directories from being copied. Salamander allows specifying exclusion masks for files, but this needs to be extende...

Re: What next? Vote please: x64 version or UAC support

I use a 32 bit version of Windows, so I am not concerned with x64 support personally, but I voted for it, nevertheless, because I may in the future. Lack of UAC support is a rare annoyance. I'd like it dealt with too.

Re: I found a zip file that Salamander 2.52 doesn't handle

I see. Could then the plug-in be improved to detect these kinds of situations? Winrar could do it. IrfanView does a similar thing with images (there have been many situations when images had wrong extensions, and IrfanView informed me about it and offered to rename the files instead of simply failin...

I found a zip file that Salamander 2.52 doesn't handle

Salamander says that the file is either a part of the multi-volume archive or is corrupted. However, Winrar 3.70 handles the file with ease. I'll send a link to the file to a Salamander support person or developer via PM.

By the way, http://www.altap.cz/salam_en/plugins/zip.html lists old stuff.

Re: FTP client: displaying transfer progress

Yes, I mean "some automatic scrolling in the Operations listview". I don't have an answer for your other question as I don't know details about it. If I understand what you mean by multiple connections correctly, I'd expect each connection to be displayed in a separate window. However, fro...

FTP client: displaying transfer progress

If a list of files to transfer is long enough, the detailed operations list isn't displayed in a way that makes it easy to see what operation is about to be processed, which one is finished, etc. because the current information is placed way down the list (below the threshold of visibility). I'd lik...

Re: Rules for Queuing and making Queuing more easy to access

Right now to set the copy/move to queuing you have to click on "options" and then check the "wait until all other Copy/Move operations are finished" box. Would you or anyone else please tell me where exactly I can find this option? It doesn't seem to be present in my copy of Sal...

Re:

We are convinced that introducing it now would lead to chaos. It's a pity because I've been in many situations when Salamander couldn't deal with files (copy/move) when other programs could. I want to be able to at least copy or move files that happened to be stored at paths that are very long. Cha...

What magic word do I need to say in order to see this option? I also need it. I use version 2.52 beta 1.

I only turned on the real-time scan recently, around the time I upgraded to Salamander 2.52 beta 1. That's why I think this is the reason. I saw a friend with an infected flash drive recently and decided to add more protection :) ether , I've disabled daily scans a long time ago. And real-time check...

Hmm... the slowness I experience may have to do with my having enabled real-time virus checking. I'll experiment with this.

Is Salamander 2.52 beta 1 slower than 2.51?

It seems that it's much slower than 2.51. Particularly, during enumerating directory content. Has anybody noticed this?
