Re: Combined
Yes I did that. I used the plugin to combine the file afterwards, Did you make sure, all the parts were listed in the correct order ? Did you leave out the batch file? Did you check the CRC and was it ok? Why did you not just use the batch file to recombine the parts? but now the file is just one b...

Registry path and ftp path in command line
I often work with long path and a small window layout, which leads to an abreviated path display in the Directory Line. In order to get a longer path display I use to look at the command line. Was it passible to show the current path in the directory line even with registry or ftp path? Especially w...

Focus and close find window
I'd like to get a hot key to focus a file found in the find file window in the main window's file pane and closing the find window at the same time. I frequently have to return to the find window just to close it.
I suggest using CTRL-Space for this.

The virtual folders you are linking to are just an extension (superset) of Temp folders you are requesting, as I understand. The former possibly differing from the latter in that you can define as many virtual folders as you like, and that they remain and keep it's content from session to session. I...

To do this, Salamander would need to stop setting the working dir to the focused pannel's dir. That's may be the better solution than to disable it. Are there more issues which justify disabeling it (appart from hotkeys which copy path information from the file pane to the command line, which might ...

... since the .iso are labeled .iso.0001 do I burn these as a .iso or do I have to change the file name to do that? No, after splitting your .iso, you've got just fragments. You need to burn them as data files. If they are too large to fit on a data CD, combine them and split into smaller parts. Bu...

How is this related to Servant Salamander? Does the UnISO plugin fail at the image? If yes, please specify what image failed (post a download link to the image that fails). Specify what you expect to get and what you actually get instead from Servant Salamander. This way, if there is a flaw in the p...

Yes, you're right. This tool indeed uses the complete path supplied to it, minus the extension, as it's target base directory (or, as you said, a subfolder named by the archives name, located in the archive's path). I will have to create a script, since it does not support any other parameters. Than...

Unpacker target directory
I have got a simple unpacker which tackes the archive as its only parameter and unpacks to the current working directory. I added this to the 'Unpackers in Unpack Dialog Box' list. As the only parameter I added $(ArchiveDOSFullName). Support long names is acvtivated (though probably irrelevant, sinc...

I can't think of any circumstances where I would want to use this. If I needed to have files and folders in view at the same time, I'd use left and right panes. My suggestion for something which probably relates to this is to have a quick way to toggle a pane between file'n'folder view and a directo...

An action log is actually the first step in implementing an undo function. The log would keep all of the necessary info about the action. Selections, old names, new names, from folder, to folder, etc. Well, kind of. I would certainly organise my log differently depending on whether I want to docume...

Re: Action logging wanted
From what AbteriX wrote in the beginning, I assume he's talking about a persistent log file, which keeps logging all actions. I would not want to use this. On the other hand, in casees such as he names in his example, where Salamander takes default actions without asking me explicitely each time, it...
