We are considering removing the FTP Search plugin from Salamander because it doesn't seem useful anymore. Does anybody still use it? Please let us know... I would like to view a file within one pane without spawning a new window with the internal viewer, but I cannot seem to figure it out. For instance, if I want to see the contents of a JPG or TXT, I hightlight the file and VIEW, but would not like to see a new window open. Is this possible?

So I get the feeling that an external intervention needs to happen to get a PreDefined desktop shortcut to work......sounds like there is not way to get variables to work.

I've tried to add My Desktop as a predefined shortcut such as Network Neighborhood or My Documents or even a Hot Path. Problem I have is if I use Salamander as a portable on my thunmbdrive, My Documents always has that path working, but My Desktop path changes from system to system. Is there a way t...

I have changed:
Arguments: $(FullName) >>d:\my_list.txt
to
Arguments: $(FullName) >>%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\my_list.txt
but it does not work. Any ideas?

I quit using 2.52b1 and went back to 2.51. V2.51 has the same problem.

If I change the default port from 21 to 10156, the FTP client just hangs and will not display the window contents.

Let me hold my breath for the release version now.

Search to see if the app exists in a specific folder and if not, error out and don't add the reg key. Altap 2.5 went into a 2.5 folder, 2.51 is a Altap 2.51 folder and so on. Create a CMD file with various keys of various path.
