Re: Coping files on net, AS251 is more faster than AS252
If I had to guess , both this & AS 2.52 feels much slower than 2.51 may be attributable (& perhaps only in appearance?) to: # Panel contents are refreshed even if Salamander's window is not active. Seems to me, & I really haven't put my finger on it, that at times there are (unexpected -...

Re: File Comparator misses a difference
Assuming that this has to do with the (large) file size itself, this utility may help in creating a BIG FILE. (Which you could then make a simple byte change with a hex editor, or the like.) BIGFILE.ZIP Creates a large file with desired size; useful to force other files to the end of the disk, e.g....

I'll have to see what I can come up with. (Figures it is not doing it now that I am trying to force it.) Not doing anything special. Simply two computers networked. AS open with the share in one panel, local in another. Connection good. AS minimized. At some point, the share computer is shut down. A...

Disable Network Path Checking on an Inactive Window
Option to Disable Network Path Checking on an Iactive Window. As far as I can tell, an inactive AS window will still notify (popup message) when a network connection is lost. At the same time that panel with the lost network path will revert to some local path. Suggest an option to disable checking ...

Quick Rename - Cursor Positioning Option
Quick Rename - Cursor Positioning Option On the limited occasions that the new style Quick Rename is beneficial to me, most often its use would be to append some text to the existing filename. As it is now, the new style Quick Rename selects the filename, but the cursor position is positioned on the...

File Copy Operation Timings May Not Be Terribly Accurate? Or they could be affected by other instances of Copy operations/system operations? T...
