Tested it: same behavior in RC1. Here's what happens when I copy/move just a few files: (1) I hit ENTER. (2) The operation window is displayed for the fraction of a second (since there is so little data to be copied/moved). (3) The files are still on the source side. It takes another 1-2 s before th...

Problem: Delayed Move and Copy Operations
Dear Forum, recently I've noticed that move and copy operations are delayed. Even if I just want to copy or move a single small file it sometimes takes 1-2 seconds before the process starts. Have I activated some obscure option that triggers this delay? How can I get back to fast and direct move an ...

Can SS merge/join/append files?
Is SS able to merge several files into one?
In my case, I want to join several mp3-files (e.g. 1.mp3 + 2.mp3 + 3.mp3 = all.mp3).
Does anyone have an idea?
Many thanks in advance!
Tim

@ KNUT: I prefer to look at exactly the same position when changing a file name. The Quick Rename window opens at a different position. Frequent eye movement is tiresome when renaming lots of files (in a process that is too complex to be automated). Furthermore, when renaming in the actual line I ca...

Dear Jan, Thank you very much indeed. Děkuju! What a quick and professional support. Amazing. Works like a charm! (If you find the time.... Could you explain what actually happens? So far it seems like magic. I assume that every file is overwritten with the contents of the file zero.txt. Correct? Is...

Copying files as zero byte files
This is what I'd like to do:
- Copy files or a directory structure with files.
- The target files should all be zero byte files.
- Target directory structure and target file names should be identical.
Is this possible?
Is there a mask for this?
Thanks for any help in advance!
