Re: PictView - scanning error

Too bad this bug is not fixed in 3.03... But it behaves somewhat differently now. In Salamander x86, selecting 'scan source' as WIA-Xerox works fine - but selecting just the scanner [Xerox] still crashes the program (crash report is enclosed). Anyway, in Salamander x64 I still can't do anything - pr...

Re: Purchases and upgrades for 3.01

Jan Rysavy , it did not expire yet, it just went into trial mode for the next 30 days starting from August 1st - so it will expire on September 1st. I hope that the credit card payment gateway will be available by September? It was promised in April first, then May, June, August... Of course I can ...

Re: Purchases and upgrades for 3.01

If I am not mistaken, Altap Salamander 3.02 working on 2.54 keys is going to expire tomorrow.
Any news on setting up that promised 'New Payment Gateway' - and 3.03 version, please?

PictView - scanning error

I remember how I used to scan pictures with PictView before - but it does not work for me now. With Altap Salamander 3.02 x64 - every time I select 'Scan image' or 'Choose scan source' it says something like 'Not possible to open TWAIN sources; if your scanner is TWAIN-compatible, please update its ...

Re: Error in error reports?

Jan Rysavy, yes, you were right. Turning off Kaspersky Internet Security allowed Salamander to send a report with no problem...

Error in error reports?

I am curious - does automatic error reporting system actually work (after Salamander crash, for example)?
I was never able to send a report that way - it always says:
"Impossible to send a message: Incorrect answer of server. Opening tag is missing. Please send us a report by e-mail etc."

Re: Launching files does not work (too deep in directories?)

OK, so that's how it works for me: 1. Root Recycle Bin directory: C:\$RECYCLE.BIN\S-1-5-21-...\ - you can't launch anything, only Properties dialog appears when pressing 'Enter'. 2. One more directory deeper: C:\$RECYCLE.BIN\S-1-5-21-...\$REVVUWW\ - you can launch any file in a usual way (in Salaman...

Re: PictView crashes on *.bmp (64-bit)

Well, you know what? If I change the language of Salamander to English (I tried also French and Czech) then *.bmp viewing works fine! And manually deleting russian.slg from PictView directory solves the problem as well even if the program and other plugins are still in Russian. I hope this informati...

Re: Launching files does not work (too deep in directories?)

therube , that's very interesting. It is strange that you get this nice message, and I have another one about 'no associated program for this file' (in Russian, even if I change the Salamabder language to English or French). But you can launch *.wmv etc. from that very directory, right? Just not fi...

Re: PictView crashes on *.bmp (64-bit)

Jan Rysavy, as I have said in the first message here, Salamander 3.02 x86 works fine, no errors without that salpvenv.exe!

Re: PictView crashes on *.bmp (64-bit)

I tried installing older 3.0 x64 version - no, the error is still there :(
P.S. Not only trying to open *.bmp files, but an attempt to capture a screen leads to that crash of PictView process as well.

Re: Launching files does not work (too deep in directories?)

That was the first thing I tried to do - but it's not possible as Windows Explorer opens not folders inside $RECYCLE.BIN but a TrashBin (where you can only restore deleted files, not open or launch them). Well, that's a very minor issue, as not many people would try to launch files from their recycl...

Re: PictView crashes on *.bmp (64-bit)

I am on Windows 7 x64. Have you received my crash report sent by mail?
I will attach another one here.
