Try ALT+F7, hit Advanced and set the size you wish...
But still using * in the search shows you all the files available.
Hitting Size column sorts the files according size.

See the result. Its easy...

The only way to be sure that the backup is ok, is to backup more often. Backup software has the ability to check content on the binary level. RoelofB are you using some Bittorrent Client while you do the FTP stuff?
Is it possible that you have simply too many open connections?
You can check it using CurrentPorts tool from Nir Sofer.
