Dang!

So I should have made a reply instead. Was commenting on the alleged delay issue on the 2.52 beta.

It works fine here...

... always have. Could it be a Vista thing? On my XP Pro, 1½Gb ram I've been trying to provoke it to do delays and sure, sometimes there's a delay. That is expected when changing to a directory containing 1000+ files and they are part of a CVS-repository (delayed approximately 1s). BTW. Really looki...

Errata

I was looking at Jan's join date, not the date of his post.

Why would anyone want to uninstall AS?

On my PC's it stays once installed!

The Salexten.dll is a bugging thing and I must admit it irritates me each time I clean the temp-directory. Much more than knowing I'll have to reboot, should I choose to uninstall AS.

How come Jan's final post is older than the posts above him?

Upgrading to 2.51 - what happened with the self extractor?

This was a packing option that I have had from day one. Now it is grayed out and I can't find any explanation why this has happened

FTP copying. Play a wav-file when copy finishes

I use the FTP-cilent for copying very large files and a audible notification when copying finishes, would be practical.

Either a hardcoded "Boing!" or a selectable wave-file.

My fault - sorry

Wrong shortcut used. How could I even consider you making an error?

Copy path as text - minor flaw

Using the <shift+ctrl+insert> shortcut I may have discovered what I expect is a minor flaw. If I select a path and click on a file or directory before pressing <shift+ctrl+insert>, the path and filename is copied onto the clipboard (as it should). Now select another path and press <shift+ctrl+insert...

The copy path to clipboard function

It is a useful feature that I can right click and copy the entire or a partial path to the clipboard.

But, on network drives, I'd prefer it to copy the UNC path, "\\monster\data\source" instead of "F:\Source". My colleges may not have the drives mapped the same way.

Minimize to tray and link to desktop

I have set the Salamander to minimize to tray. When restored but hidden by another window, clicking the task will minimize it. Couldn't that be changed so that the click would make it the topmost window instead (and when topmost it would minimize to tray)? I really need a shortcut to the "deskt...

Congratulations..

And you even managed to put in the overlay icons for CVS before the release. A great program’s made even better. Everything the Total Commander can do the Salamander does better, smarter, faster and prettier, so go get the honor you deserve; wipe out the TC! Best of luck from the number on...

Supporting CVS/SVN

No doubt that it would be nice to have icons-support for Tortoise. Is this functionality found in your road map? If found, how high up? I’m trying to persuade my colleges into using CVS/SVN. Bundled toegether with SS they may grow to like it easier. An alternative to shift-f3: I still use SS for mos...

Delete directories in use

If a process uses a directory you can't delete it, and the ServSal aborts the operation. Any chance of a "show me what's locking the directory" feature in those situations? It's a lot of trouble identifying these processes and a feature like this would gives us a chance to detect unautoriz...

I was wanting to post the same feature request; was thinking of a solution where the menu-group was configurable like the the hot-path's. Actually I don't understand why the documents link is there and the desktop isn't - seems to me like it was a "forgotten" feature. /hrc BTW. I can't fig...
