Re: What next? Vote please: x64 version or UAC support
No use to talk about the first priority should be Unicode. It has been decided x64 and UAC have to be implemented first before Unicode. I understand the complexity to implement Unicode correctly. Hopefully it will become first priority after x64 and UAC.

I think it should be on the top of the to do list. No my friend. The No.1 item in the list is and stays is Unicode support. Second is the 64b support. Tabs are I believe somewhere on the end. Me personaly, I somehow don't miss the tab feature. If necessary, I can start another salamander session so...

I can understand your frustration. As i've requested unicode support almost 4 yrs ago and still waiting for it :) Ofcourse i know implementing new features takes time especially with a small developing team like Altap, not to mention bug fixes. Issues like switching to a new developing software, sup...

display total files, subfolders
In Directory Opus it's possible to view total folder size, total files inside each main folder and total subfolders at once. Here's a screenshot i found

Is this an interessting feature for Salamander as well, perhaps possible as a plugin?

Again i didn't say not to follow your advice or don't try to do anything to change things like they are now. It's a just a simple conclusion that you cannot satifsy all users/customers. If users/customers also get that point they might as well try to improve the product with suggestions instead of b...

Do i care whether you like cliche or not? I wasn't even targeting on you in the first place or commenting on your ideas how to improve things. My message was for those who are always negative to the Altap developers. Instead of complainng they can suggest ways to improve things. Also by saying there...

Putting up release dates while products are being delayed for months is frustating to many people. Not announcing release dates (just only the roadmap) makes people wonder if Altap is actually working on the product can cause doubts of whether the project is still alive or not. Some will even ask th...

First of all it's not a recovery tool but a file manager like SelfMan said. It contains a plugin which can recover deleted files if it's still possible to get them back. Secondly it's described in the help file how to use the undelete plugin and what the limitations are. You can't compare this plugi...
