Show results during DirSizes
When I press Ctrl + Alt + F10 , Salamander starts to Calculate Directory Sizes . It does so in the order the subdirectories are displayed (top-down). When I cancel ( Esc ) I get to see the results calculated up to that moment. I sometimes do that when the action takes 'too' long: if one or some subd...

Re: Alternative Tab hotkey
In many cases I cannot install extra software, aside from AS.
I noticed some other commands have duplicate shortcuts.
Having every key configurable would be great or course...

Alternative Tab hotkey
I often use Salamander on a remote machine, working through terminal session in the browser (Juniper Network Connect). Of course I use the Tab key a lot. Unfortunately, it's ultimately interpreted as the i key, so instead of switching to the inactive tab, the cursor jumps to the first file that star...

Support special filenames
It would be really nice if Salamander supported handling 'special' filenames. For instance: ending in a dot ending in a space reserved names like CON or NUL longer than 256 characters For instance, try creating a file called " ... ", like this: echo.>"\\?\C:\Temp\..." These filen...

Re: PictView background color cyan gets yellow
I can imagine that you also get the same result with Windows Photo viewer, it is because of the RBG colours in your display profile. You can read about it here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/939395 Well no. First, in Salamander, it's not a Vista-only thing. It also happens in Windows 7 and XP. Th...

PictView background color cyan gets yellow
I would like to report a minor issue with the PictView plugin. Sometimes I save PNG files with only 256 colors, with transparency. When I view those with PictView, the transparent background shows as yellow , although I have the background color(s) set to cyan . This confused me. :? For convenience ...

Prevent PictView flicker
I use the PictView plugin a lot. One example is, to iterate over a lot of (periodical) screenshots. Switching to the next image makes the screen flicker. It looks like the window (or screen, if in full screen mode) is first filled black, then the next image is draw over it. Apart from looking ugly, ...

Re: Changes to environment on RDC reconnect
That's it! Me too! I've been having the problem for some years. Suspected Salamander after RDC, but never knew it was environment variables on x64.
As said, 2.54 has the issue as well.
Would be great if this could be fixed in 3.0, now that it's reproducible.

3.1? Your own updated roadmap says "Final version of Altap Salamander 3.0". Could you please make up your mind?Jan Rysavy wrote:We plan to include UAC support to 3.1 version

Re: What next? Vote please: x64 version or UAC support
The roadmap now says that both 'features' will be included in the next official release:
Final version of Altap Salamander 3.0
- Support for Windows Vista/7/8 UAC elevation prompts
- Both 32 and 64 bit versions to bypass WOW64 limitations

Re: When will it be possible to view (F3) Office 2010 files?
Have you tried Office2007.wlx (via tcproxy.spl)? It will show the contents as plain text. Better than nothing.
I guess you could try other Total Command listers as well.

Will this wonderful plugin be updated to Salamander 3.0? Any idea how soon?
