Re: Salamander 2.52 Fails File Comparison
it does appear to hit 100% since when looking at the file difference, you can see the difference in the entire file. Nonetheless, that does not mean that it has finished the comparison. Per the thread I linked to, as the compare runs, you will notice the window header line says, "... - Computi...

Re: What next? Vote please: x64 version or UAC support
Not really understanding them implications, my impression is that ... 1) is an actual limitation , i.e. something that you can not do, not allowed to do 2) is simply an annoyance Given that, then x64 would be more important. --- I've got W7 x86 installed on a mule. I'll install AS & see what giv...

Re: Salamander 2.52 crash while extracting RAR file
A "solid" archive may contain more then one file. A solid archive is a RAR archive packed by a special compression method, which treats all files, within the archive, as one continuous data stream. ... Ah, so it is the actual (attempt to) copy the file out from the password protected solid...

Re: AS 2.52 feels much slower than 2.51
This thread, Problem: Delayed View and Delete Operations , dealt with CTFMON.EXE & slow file views. At the time, it was the change from SS 2.0 to AS 2.5 that made it apparent. I would not have expected a change in that regard going between 2.51 & 2.52, but it is easy enough to look into. (Kn...

Re: Renamer - Renames only one file
Perhaps In the past, focus been on a directory, & Include subdirectories had been selected in Renamer, then you would have seen your expected file list (of files in subdirectories of the directory which had focus).
In your case, had you been at D:\ with focus on the \log\ directory.

Batch Rename - Subdirectories
Batch Rename - Subdirectories How to do that, the directory names themselves? You can highlight & rename a top (current) directory entries, but not subdirectories of the same (at least that I can see). At times I'll download directory trees & the resultant directories will have "%20&quo...

Even unsuspecting programs may clear the clipboard.
For instance, on the first opening of the program, LeechFTP will clear clipboard contents.

Universal Viewer says ... # MS Office: all file types of MS Office (if installed): DOC DOCX XLS PPT... . Maybe that will do what you need. Re: AS hangs when opening context menu
Are all folders this way or only specific ones? Since it is affecting directories, just what is in the particular directories? AVI files by chance? If so, it could be (an infamous) MS gottcha. Try disabling shmedia.dll http://support.microsoft.com/search/default.aspx?mode=r&query=shmedia.dll&...
