It would be nice if leaving the "Find in" box empty (in Find Files and Directories) would fill it with all local drives' roots. So for me it would be C:\;D:\;E:\. I'm not sure whether cd/dvd drives should be included. I guess mapped network drives shouldn't. Any default would help if left ...

Just in case you Altap guys not happen to think of it: if you implement this (which I would REALLY appreciate!), please allow more (any?) multiples of an hour, in addition to a few seconds. I often find a difference of two hours (and sometimes a second) when comparing FTP content.

Personally, I can do very well without tabs. Using Alt-F12 and Shift-X for al my 26 drive letters, two panes is usually enough.
Maybe tabs can be useful, but I think they are not that necessary.

The database viewer plugin supports a "Text qualifier". However, line feeds are always regarded as line separators, even if between text qualifiers like (double) quotes. This way, many CSV files cannot be read comfortably.
Fixing this would make a much more complete CSV viewer.
