Re: Some productivity tips
Since there are different people with different likes and dislikes it is always good to let the user chose what he prefers. However, I don't see a problem in implementing new functionality that can only be used with a mouse as long as the already existing keyboard functions are not removed. For inst...

Re: Support for Windows 7 Libraries feature
To me the libraries look like another representation of a search function (or a cheap surrogate for the once promised data base file system? )
Therefore I think it would be good if the libraries were available as a search location when you search for files but not so good in the panels.

Mouse vs. Keyboard?
Maybe it's my poor English but I'm feeling a little bit lost here. As far as I know, AS can be used by keyboard and by mouse very well (yes, the toolbar icons are outdated and too small). I am changing between them depending on the task I'm about to do. JohnFredC, I guess you are suggesting that mou...

Re: AS 2.53beta1: Automation plugin: help file
I've just noticed that the script menu is now updated immediately after changes in the script directories. This has to be changed in the help file as well.
Most of the version 1.1 new objects are only mentioned on the "What's new" page but not described. Makes it hard to use them

AS 2.53beta1: Automation plugin: help file
When the Automation plugin was introduced as a standalone plugin, the script path for the current user was C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Altap\Altap Salamander\Automation\scripts (Vista/Windows7). Obviously that has changed since it became a part of AS, it is now C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Ro...

Re: Shell Link Viewer Plugin
I've been downloading the shelllinkviewer_0.5.0.399.zip from your site, but when installed it says Version 0.4.0?
Furthermore, there are 2 items labeled "Start in" whereas the second of them should be "Comment" I guess.

Re: Order of Opened Files
Seems to work as expected for me as well. It would be nice however if it would open near the current mouse position, not centered as it does now, especially when opened from the menu. And are the somehow created shortcut keys in the list really useful? Because they change every time the list is open...

Re: Shortcut not working
The problem is that in the menu the ; key (which is displayed) is working but not the ü. On the other hand Ctrl-; isn't working but Ctrl-ü is. I guess for the hotkeys the scan codes of the keys are used (interpreted as a standard english keyboard) but in the menu the characters with respect to the l...

Re: Automation Plugin
I'm having a problem with the plugin help. I can only access it if i open the automation.chm file directly, and even then the content is not displayed under Content -> Plugins, I can only find it via Index or Search. I just wrote my first script for the feature mentioned here : http://forum.altap.cz...

Re: Automation Plugin
Hmmm, then we would have 2 menus with "user generated content".Manison, what about a new command "Automation Menu" which will display menu with all scripts the same way as User Menu does?
I'd prefer the ability to run a script from the user menu through the automation plugin.

Re: Get Windows Version
I do it like this: dim shell, strOS, strVerKey, strVersion Set Shell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell") strOS = shell.ExpandEnvironmentStrings("%OS%") If strOS = "Windows_NT" Then strVerKey = "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\" strVersion = Shell...

BTW: By unchecking the "execute through shell" option you can get rid of the extra shell window.
